8. Aren’t glass bottles equally better than this can?
Glass bottles cannot be compared to aluminium cans. Using glass just postpones the problem as it too takes a million years to
decompose. Let us throw light on a few facts:a] Glass bottles are heavy compared to aluminium cans. Cans are also significantly lighter than glass, resulting in reduced fuel usage while transportation and refrigeration cost while storage.
b] When a tonne is recycled, glass saves 42 kilowatt hours of energy, whereas aluminium saves 14000 kilowatts.
c] Recycling a can uses 90% less energy than recycling a glass bottle
